Sun Sister — Monferrato DOC Bianco (13% ABV)
Where light lingers. Born under open skies and shaped by sunlight and shared tables, Sun Sister captures a warmth that feels both familiar and free — the laughter, the pause, the golden hour between day and dusk. This Arneis reflects the generous spirit of Zambelli Wines, inspired by connection, conversation, and time shared with friends and family. Direct pressed, spontaneous primary and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel, Sun Sister is a reflection of sisterhood — the bonds we’re born into and the ones we choose.
-
Our Sun Sister is a Monferrato DOC Bianco.
Grown in Pino d’ Asti for Villa Zambelli SSA, Sun Sister is 100% Arneis grapes and from the 2025 vintage.
-
Grown in Pino d’Asti at 412 m above sea level on calcareous tuff with clay threaded with pebbles and sandy fossil beds left by an ancient sea.
We implement low environmental impact farming practices, have permanent grass cover, do not use herbicides, and use organic manure returned to the soil.
Vines are Guyot or spurred cordon trained; plantings date from 1990–1995.
All farming is done by hand, under the guidance of Piero Olivero.
-
The 2025 harvest in Pino d’Asti brought ideal growing conditions — a cool, even spring, warm but moderate summer, and a balanced autumn that preserved freshness and aromatics.
-
Sun Sister was direct pressed, spontaneous primary and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel with six months on fine lees.
-
Sun Sister offers hints of pear blossom, almond and citrus zest with a mineral core. It pairs well with oysters, risotto, asparagus and inside jokes.
