Alchemist’s Daughter — Freisa d’Asti (12.5% ABV)

Wonder is her work. Transformation is both instinct and art. Alchemist’s Daughter captures the moment when tradition meets imagination. Inspired by the alchemists among us — the healers, chemists, and mystics who shape change with care, our Freisa reflects Zambelli Wines’ curious approach to winemaking — where craft becomes ritual, intuition guides the hand, and care itself is a form of magic.

(Available Summer 2026)

  • Our Temptation of Eve wine is a Freisa d’Asti DOC.

Grown in Pino d’Asti for Villa Zambelli SSA, Temptation of Eve is 100% Freisa grape, from the 2025 vintage.

  • Grown in Pino d’Asti at 412 m above sea level on calcareous tuff with clay threaded with pebbles and sandy fossil beds left by an ancient sea.

    • We implement low environmental impact farming practices, have permanent grass cover, do not use herbicides, and use organic manure returned to the soil.

    • Vines are Guyot or spurred cordon trained; plantings date from 1990–1995.

    • All farming is done by hand, under the guidance of Piero Olivero.

  • The 2025 harvest in Pino d’Asti brought ideal growing conditions — a cool, even spring, warm but moderate summer, and a balanced autumn that preserved freshness and aromatics.

  • Alchemist’s Daughter was partially whole-cluster fermented in concrete with native yeast and aged 10 months in neutral oak.

  • Our Temptation of Eve Freisa offers dark cherry, violet, graphite and spice notes.

It pairs well with roasted meats, truffles, aged cheese, and late nights.
